Whether you go on to grad school, start your first job, or take a slightly less conventional path, CALE offers a wealth of resources and programs in support of career achievement. Many high-achievers skip over the exploration and self-reflection phases of career development, narrowly focusing on a small subset of career pathways far too early. To address this, our focus includes traditional services such as career fairs, internships, grad apps, resume review, and on-campus student employment, along with industry days, tech talks, networking events, and a half-dozen student-alumni engagement programs.
Career Advising
Career advisors are available to meet with you individually to discuss your career goals and help you to implement an action plan. We support academic, industry, medicine, law, and other pathways. Combined with the strong alumni network at Caltech, our team is able to connect your career aspirations to tangible goals and the right mentors.
Industry Days
CALE works with hundreds of companies every year. Explore your field and connect with alumni and recruiters at industry days and career fairs. CALE partners with the academic divisions to ensure we're always bringing in the right companies and organizations. Join us for one of a dozen or so recruiting and demo fairs like Techfest or Caltech Bioscience Industry Day.
Engage with Alumni
Caltech alumni get it. They've been in your shoes and have a wealth of information to share. More recent alumni have just navigated the grad school app or corporate recruiting process. Those a few more years out have tremendous experience and perspective to share. CALE provides numerous formal and informal ways to connect with alumni.
