Handshake is the Career Development Center's online platform for recruiting, counseling, and events. This platform uses cutting edge technology to help you easily connect with employers, and source jobs, internships, event information, and on-campus recruiting opportunities. You can also use Handshake to schedule a counseling appointment, sign-up for employer information sessions, CDC workshops and register for career fairs.
Employers can use Handshake as a recruiting tool to identify qualified candidates for open positions and to manage on-campus recruiting activities.
ELIGIBIITY REQUIREMENTS FOR CALTECH HANDSHAKE ACCOUNTS
Caltech students, alumni and Caltech/JPL postdocs may request a Handshake account.
ACCOUNT LOGIN INFORMATION
Caltech Undergraduate and Graduate Students
Log into Handshake using your Caltech Access credentials. You will be directed to Handshake after logging in. For help, please check Handshake's support for students.
Students are encouraged to update their Handshake profile regularly, especially their year-of-study. As with all websites, please consider what information you wish to have public. Always be aware of any updates to privacy opt-out policies, especially as it concerns your particular profile.
Postdocs and Alumni
Postdocs and alumni may create an account using their email address and password. For postdocs, please use your Caltech or JPL email address. Alumni that had student accounts may change their email address to a non-Caltech address, since their access credentials may no longer be valid to log in. To change your email address, please send a request with your new address to email@example.com so we can update that for you.
